Shannon Peris

Shannon Peris has extensive experience in all phases of commercial litigation, including trial and appeal. Her broad range of experience has included complex multi-district securities litigation, business and contract cases, labor and employment disputes, and insurance coverage disputes.

Shannon was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin. After attending college and law school in upstate New York, she began her career with the Manhattan office of Mayer Brown LLP. After four years there, she and her family moved to Houston, where she continued to practice with Mayer Brown LLP for a few years before joining Ahmad Zavitsanos & Anaipakos.

Shannon has achieved many notable victories for her clients, including successful motion practice, complete dismissals of claims, and winning appeals, among other things. She has also lectured to nationwide audiences on employment litigation, been deemed a Certified Advocate by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, and in 2007 was named by H Texas Magazine as a “Professional on the Fast Track.”
