Mr. Young has senior experience litigating all aspects of complex civil litigation, with an emphasis on contract, fraud, medical negligence and other business-related claims in several industries, including consumer goods, equipment financing, energy, construction, health care, technology, and insurance / re-insurance. Jonathan has also represented individuals and companies in bankruptcy court, both in the capacity as advocate for creditor and debtor, in Chapters 7, 9, 11, 12 and 13 bankruptcies.

For two years, Mr. Young handled a varied case-load of over 150+ different matters as regional counsel for a $10 billion equipment financing company. During this time in Mr. Young's practice, he developed his complex litigation management skills as this position required his managing and directing more than 30 separate local counsels throughout the United States while serving as lead counsel in more than 30 matters set in Texas federal and state courts.

Prior to joining AZA, Jonathan was with the firm of Baker & Hostetler, LLP for over 5 years in their Houston office's litigation section. While completing his undergraduate education, Jonathan worked as an administrative assistant for 4 years at the law firm of Vinson & Elkins - working this full-time position while simultaneously carrying a full-course load for 3 of those 4 years. Jonathan largely credits his ability to focus his skills and accomplish goals on his 6 year experience in the United States Marine Corps, enlisting right out of high school and attaining the rank of Sergeant prior to his 4th year of service - an unprecedented feat in his regiment. Mr. Young attained his Eagle Scout while in high school and was born and raised Valparaiso, Indiana.
