AZA News April 2007 Amir Alavi Represents Land Owners In $6 Million Mineral Lease Settlement Amir Alavi settled a mineral lease dispute between land owners and Ballard Exploration Company and other defendants for over $6 million. The case, which was pending in Liberty County, Texas, involved claims by the land owner clients that Ballard Exploration Company did not have a valid lease for a successful natural gas well. AZA's clients settled the case for over $6,200,000 plus future royalty payments. The defendants agreed to settle only after Alavi filed an extensive response to the defendants' motion for summary judgment. Results obtained depend on the facts of each case.
