AZA’s Jane Langdell Robinson Earns Prestigious Civil Appellate Law Certification

HOUSTON – The Houston trial law firm of AZA, or Ahmad, Zavitsanos & Mensing, is pleased to announce that Jane Langdell Robinson was one of only eight lawyers to be Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization this year.

This specialization focuses on proceedings brought before civil appellate courts, including appeals of final judgments and appealable interlocutory orders, and original proceedings.

“I’m so pleased to join this elite group of lawyers who possess a breadth of experience and knowledge about civil appeals in Texas,” said Ms. Robinson, who is Of Counsel to AZA. Before joining AZA in 2007, Ms. Robinson worked at Baker Botts in Houston, Sheppard Mullin in Los Angeles, and Smith Anderson in Raleigh, North Carolina.

AZA also has seven other lawyers who are Board Certified. Partners Demetrios Anaipakos, John Zavitsanos, Amir Alavi, and Todd W. Mensing; and Of Counsel David Warden are certified as civil trial law specialists. Joseph Ahmad  is certified in labor and employment law and Sammy Ford IV is certified in personal injury trial law.

The Texas Board of Legal Specialization was established in 1974 by the Supreme Court of Texas at the request of the State Bar of Texas. It is the only governing board authorized to grant civil law and other certifications to Texas attorneys.
